Looking Over Our Shoulder
And Into The Future With Pride
I
always wonder how far I should go into January before it feels too late to say
Happy New Year! Because this is the first communication that I'm having with
most of you since the end of 2017, let me wish you and yours health, happiness
and prosperity in 2018.
I
hope you're as proud of last year and as excited about this year as we are at LoyaltyMatch.
What
made us puff out our chests during 2017? Our APIs and Widgets for sure.
We released a new set of APIs that now provide increased security, simpler
mobile integration, JSON/JSONP/XML support and browser based OAuth login and
authentication. Our new APIs are referred to as 'Token APIs'. The APIs utilize
a token system to authenticate members and perform actions on their account.
This allows developers to create applications that interact directly with the
APIs from a browser or mobile device while providing a more streamlined process
and quicker development time. The "net/net" is that integrating with
mobile devices can be done quickly, security is stronger and the user
experience is more robust. The Kitchener Blues Festival leveraged our APIs for
its mobile app. If you're a technical type you'll appreciate what we've done.
If you're not technical, you still can. In plain English, you'll be able to
hook into our loyalty rewards platform quicker and easier.
Then
there's our work last year on POS Integration. We added enhanced integration
support for numerous POS systems including POSitouch, MICROS, Squirrel, Lavu,
Bypass and others. One great example is our work with I.M.P. In October they
launched what is the hottest new entertainment venue in Washington, D.C. The Anthem uses
the POSitouch POS system. We integrated the I.M.P. loyalty rewards program Friends
with Benefits (FwB), powered by our system, with that POS system.
The list
of features continues to grow with the addition of Apple Wallet to our
loyalty rewards platform. With Wallet downloaded to a smartphone it is easier
for members of programs powered by LoyaltyMatch to get the rewards that they
want. And, it will help the loyalty program owners acquire the data they
need. The geolocation system within the Wallet guides the members to their
loyalty cards even when their iPhone is locked. I.M.P added the feature for its
FwB members last year.
We
have added and will continue to improve our ability to integrate Optical
Character Recognition (OCR) technology into software products, mobile devices
or other web services. The scanning service supports 46 recognition
languages and seven input formats: PDF, TIF, JPEG, BMP, PCX, PNG and GIF. The
service is up to 99% accurate. Clarins
USA uses the service to add Omnichannel support for Macy's, Bloomingdales
and other key retailers.
Our
2018 resolution is simple. We will enhance the products and services that we
offer our customers and their loyalty program members because we resolve to be the best
provider of loyalty rewards program software in the world. We'll
keep you posted as each new feature and program enhancement is on its way and
available.
Wishing
you all the best and great success during 2018 and beyond.
